Camping
Last weekend we were able to go camping up Mapleton canyon for the 4th. We went with my mom's side of the family. The Irvines, (Stephanie's family), also came up. We had a blast. Janessa and Mason were able to come up with Jen and Janae from Cedar. We had a horseshoe tournament, checker tournament, water fights, and we played with wads. We had a ton of fun. I love being with family. It was my first time seeing Coralyn. It was fun to hold her. She is so small! I remember when Kamrynne was that small. Time flies. In the horseshoe tournament I was JJ's partner. We played in the championship game but lost. It was my first time playing and I was really surprised I could play that well. I must have been pretty lucky! My mom and grandma did so well planning everything. We had a total blast! I love getting away from the city and go and enjoy the beautiful mountains. It was fun and I can't wait to go camping again.

Youth Conference
I was able to go to St. George for my first youth conference. I had an absolute blast! We were there Monday thru Wednesday. On Monday we went to Cove Fort on the way there. It was really interesting to learn why it was really there and what everything was used for. After we unpacked we were able to go to Tuacahn! It was pretty amazing! Tuacahn is an outside theater and they use the mountain as part of the stage. It was awesome. We got back pretty late though. On Tuesday we were able to go to the temple that morning. I have missed going there since I moved from Ely. I love that it is not as busy as Provo. It was beautiful and I loved going to the visitors center. That night we were able to go to a part of the narrows. It was really cool. We had to fit through a small crack. We all barly fit. I was surprised that some of the leaders were able to go through. On monday we were able to listen to the St. George temple president, President Ortin. He was just recently released as a member of the 70. I remember him coming to Ely to sustain President Pitts as the new Stake president. It was pretty cool to see him again. After, we had testimony meeting. It was my favorite part of the trip. I love to express how I feel. I love testimony meeting whether it is at girls camp, church, or youth conference. I had a blast, and I can't wait to go next year!
